City of Ballarat Municipal Brass Band
Proud winners of the 2025 and 2026 Australian National Band Championships in D Grade!
For over 130 years, the City of Ballarat Municipal Brass Band has been entertaining and bringing music to our local community.
You’ll find us marching at the Begonia Festival and on ANZAC Day, playing Christmas carols in the streets, or taking to the stage at the annual Meredith Music Festival.
With more than 50 musicians across our three bands — Development, Seniors and Vintage — there’s a place for everyone to enjoy making music together.
Our repertoire ranges from traditional marches, hymns and orchestral classics to modern popular music and movie favourites. Whether performing in the community, competing at championships or simply sharing our love of music, we’re proud to be part of Ballarat’s musical heritage.
Music is for everyone! We welcome musicians of all ages and abilities, from our youngest player at just 9 years old to our eldest at 80. Whether you're an experienced player or just starting out, come and be part of our musical family!
