Christmas in Ballarat -Accessibility

The Christmas decorations extend for approximately 1 km throughout Ballarat’s CBD. Visitors can enjoy the displays at their own pace, with seating and public amenities available throughout the trail.

Please note that some decorations have been installed within the raised garden beds along Sturt Street. While these displays can be viewed from surrounding footpaths, direct access to some decorations may be limited for visitors using wheelchairs, mobility aids, mobility scooters or prams.

Where possible, decorations have been positioned to allow for access from accessible footpaths.

The Christmas decorations are located outdoors, and visitors may encounter varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind and rain.

The Christmas decorations are visible during both the day and night. Street lighting is available along the trail after dark.

Most decorations along the trail are connected by sealed footpaths and accessible pedestrian crossings. Visitors should be aware that pathways may become busy during peak periods.

Please be aware that the trail includes a moderate gradient.
